An elasticized hem enables the wearer to work in deep water and to keep clean in muddy and dirty environments. They are very comfortable and are essential to any serious water gardener.
On natural ponds there is a real serious problem in contracting diseases such as WEILS disease which comes from rats contaminating ponds. Also anyone with skin disorders should not work in ponds without the protection given by Long Pond Gloves.
