- Most models now have two filter chambers (others have two sponges which can be cleaned individually)
- One filter sponge can always remain in the filter chamber when cleaning - minimising the loss of useful bacteria
- The main body of the filter remains in the aquarium while filter sponges and the impeller are removed for cleaning
- Flow adjuster allows regulation of the flow rate
- Outlet nozzle can be adjusted 180 deg.
- Controllable venturi system provides additional oxygen by blowing air bubbles in the tank
